WINTER TOURS

Winter time in New Zealand is no excuse for not visiting and experiencing the country during such a beautiful season!
Sure its colder but what can beat the stunning views of snow capped mountains, ice bound glaciers and the amazing peace that settles on the land. It is also an exciting and challenging time for 4x4 driving and Highland Adventures can offer a range of tag along, guided and driver training products for the winter time.

Our local tour offerings allow the short term visitor an opportunity to still experience the beauty of wintertime in  New Zealand even if you just a few hours to spare. Covering Canterbury and the surrounding areas such as Arthurs Pass, Canterbury Plains, Akaroa Peninsular, these fully guided tours departing early morning and returning early afternoon or evening depending on tour type. These tours are designed to allow customers a short taster of the local areas but all include a short off road section to maximise the Highland Adventure experience. If wine is your thing then we would be happy to include a stop at one of the many fine wineries here in the Canterbury region.

For the more adventurous traveller with time on their hands we can offer a range of more specialised tours covering a variety of areas such as the Otago Goldfields, stunning Marlborough Sounds & the Abel Tasman, beautiful Milford Sound. The amazing playground called Queenstown and Glenorchy with trips to Skippers Canyon, Macetown, Arrowtown and Cromwell. Come explore the winter wonderland of the beautiful Southern Alps. All our trips can be fully customised (subject to minimum numbers of course) and are designed with a range of options in accommodation, such as bed and breakfast, hotel stays from basic to 5 star, comfortable lodges, friendly backpackers or why not try a  full camping option and experience the true kiwi outdoors. Of course all trips include a range of 4wd tracks and we can adapt all trips to meet your needs. Camping equipment and full catering can be provided in request.

Land Rovers are not shy of snow and ice! Our ski field transport options allow pick up from a variety of locations in Christchurch and transport skiers and their equipment to the snow fields using comfortable and safe transportation. Available to individuals and group hires. Please call to book your trip early to avoid disappointment!

As we are located at the heart of ski country on the beautiful South Island, we have access to some of the finest skiing in the world. Our ski guides can arrange of the finest adventure skiing available, and all a stones throw away from Christchurch. Whatever your age or level we have a package to suit.
